Mount Turmoil is a special band. Lead singer Arjen Koekoek grew up to an American mother. Guitar player Tom Kenter used to live in Londen and San Francisco. Bass player Lazaros Valavanis is from Greece, and drummer Eric Louisville has roots in Surinam (South America). This results in a wide variety of influences, from catchy britpop to raunchy southern rock and everything in between.

Mount stands for serenity, the quiet majesty of the mountains. Turmoil is the exact opposite: mayhem, turbulence and noise. You'll hear this his contrast in Mount Turmoil's music, which goes from intimate americana, to full-on grunge rock.

Members of Mount Turmoil played on Holland's biggest festival, the Zwarte Cross, and played live in Dutch national radio: Radio 2, and Radio 3 with Giel Beelen.

Their two EPs "That's Why" and "Welcome to Mount Turmoil" were both mastered by Nick Zammuto (US) — Zammuto/The Books — and are both on Spotify, Apple Music and all other streaming platforms.
